Dear Sisters in Christ,
Welcome to Community Bible Study! It is a blessing to be a part of a ministry whose mission is "to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all." This fall we will be studying the book of Acts. I look forward to getting to know each of you as we study God's Word together.My prayer is that we will all experience God in a mighty way as we grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ this year. Remember, The One Who calls you is faithful, and He will do it! (1 Thess 5:24) Are you excited yet? I know I am!

Notice: Community Bible Study has many classes in the United States and abroad, and this web page represents one of them. While CBS has authorized this class, trained its leaders, and published the materials used in this class, the lectures and individual presentations by the leadership of this class are the result of the diligent work, fervent prayer, and striving toward excellence by this class leadership only, and have not been either produced, reviewed, or approved by the CBS organization.
The CBS Baby and Preschool Children's Program is a three year curriculum. In the fall the children learn about things that happened in the Old Testament. As we approach Christmas the children are taught about the coming of our Saviour. In January, the children see that Jesus grew up. Stories from the New Testament are taught in the Spring.
The Children's Program includes story time, a time of singing, a snack time, a play time and a craft (preschool, not babies!) especially designed to help the children remember the story. A coloring page with the story is sent home each week for the children to post on his or her refrigerator. During the year six memory verses are presented to the children during story time and then later they sing the verses to music provided by CBS. Each memory verse is displayed in a unique color and shape to help the children learn shapes and colors. They will also associate the memory verse patch with its verse.
The Primary/Junior class is for school-aged children in grades 1-8. Their lessons follow the adult lesson content. They have a lesson to prepare for the following week's core group time. They have a short lecture covering the same scripture that they studied during the week.
We believe that the Children's Program is an excellent way to encourage children to learn about the Christian faith and to one day become a member of God's Forever Family.
